My zemana is almost at 400MB, I once reached well over 400MB+ but forgot to take a screenshot of it.

I have a present screenshot of my zemana eating up my RAM at almost 400MB. I have also noticed zemana has a quite performance impact on my system. I decided to disable the real time protection until future updates. I restart the application every 6 hours, i reinstalled the application twice to see if it fixes the issue but nope.

Any ideas?

That's extremely weird! My ZAM.exe (latest version), is only 13.4 MB. o_O

it's normal after a system scan, probably scheduled scan on boot. You can disable it and see the immediate improvement

after several execution of applications, ram usage will increase but not that high

Restart the system, and then please check if it's still at 400MB ram usage.

All of the above are good options. Did this happen before or suddenly?

Try disabling settings one by one then restarting after each change. If one of them stops high memory usage, you know it's that

Yes, as buddy's already has saying, here's mine real-time protection when I just open my laptop ZAL's RAM usage. => http://i.imgur.com/EOEMPjy.png

But when I has been few hours laptop open and apps and CID it indeed ZAL's ram usage increase. There have been few updates to ZAL, I dunno does those impact ´ram usage. But that's true when laptop has been long time open ram usage does increase, I have been around ~~ 300mb.

Edit: I also have ZAL licensed version.

Check to make sure that automatic/scheduled scans are disabled. Another problem may also be that it's scanning everything in the active memory causing high usage.

Usually get around 60 to 100 MB Using Anti-Logger version so more protection. Currently just not using it for other reasons. :)

In all fairness, your RAM is supposed to be used up and not left unused... The more RAM which is being consumed will provide the program a chance to work as quickly as it possibly can; that being said, I am not excusing Zemana for the 400MB RAM usage on the process (however you should know that not all vendors are honest and some use tricks to appear as lighter than they really are).

Moving on, I think it's most likely a bug and I recommend you directly contact Zemana over at the support page because they will be able to provide much more reliable and useful assistance regarding their product and an issue like this than any of us here can: Zemana Support Center

I really hope you solve the issue soon - keep us updated if Zemana are able to resolve your issue!

Stay safe and good luck,
Wave. ;)

ZAL is using less than 14 MB Ram here but not sure what it should be using. That is on two machines here. ;)

The RAM usage may differ depending on numerous factors; it won't be a static result where you can reliably be told how much RAM it should be using because it won't necessarily be the same for everyone.

For example, programs may use more/less depending on how much RAM is actually available for usage at that moment in time and it may also depend on whether the program is performing any resource-hogging activities at the moment of comparing the data. ;)

My automatic/scheduled scans are always disabled on every AV n MV i have. I'll wait for newer updates.
You could allow scheduled scanning for the quickest option at a time that you can let it work (when you do not need the system) for your secondary opinion, that'd be a neat idea. Regarding normal protection, no need for scheduled scans as long as you have the real-time protection enabled. ;)

actually for zemana, we still need its second opinion scan. Its realtime protection with pandora is pathetic. According to my tests in malware hub, I saw it working only twice against undetected objects. After being heavily infected, I performed a system scan with zemana and it found so many malwares. I think zemana doesn't scan every access of PC

Looks like they have lots of room for improvement then.

This high RAM consumption is ridiculous on zemana, i'm still getting over 400+MB even after compeletly uninstalling the software. I'm about to remove this program of my computer if there's no solution.

@Adz. sometimes something goes wrong when we are installing a program.
And sometimes the solution is to uninstall the program reboot and install it again.
Maybe you can give that a try and see how it goes.
If the problem isn't solved then i would uninstall it too.

I've tried all that, in fact i have revo uninstaller and Comodo program manager to remove zemana, rebooted. Done this couple of times. I thought a couple of updates will fix this issue but nope. It starts from 60MB goes up slowly by 300 to 400MB. I mean that's more than my regular browser lol.

Have you tried speaking to Zemana themselves about this over at the support area? It is probably a bug.
