There was a problem recovering your PC

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

reformat and do it again.

I get an error when I try to recover from a drive, and the error is " There was a problem recovering your PC". I am doing this to test if my recovery drive work. Unfortunately, it doesn't work at all. So can anyone please help? I know there's something missing in my recovery drive, but I just don't know what it is. I ticked backup my system files on the first screen of recovery drive.

I can't perform a Start Up Repair at all in my PC? I get an error saying " StartUp couldnd't repair your PC".
