Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted from your iPod, or by bugs, crashes and viruses!

That's the program that I use instead of the Windows Default one. Great it is.

That's the program that I use instead of the Windows Default one. Great it is.

"Windows Default one"? I don't remember Windows has its own file recovery program.

Maybe he's referring to Previous Versions / File History, though myself, I have never used this function of Windows.

Me too as File History on Windows 8 is turn off by default, + Altough its really useful just extra care when malicious files are included from deletion.
