Redmi 5 not getting detected in PC through usb

Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful

1. Enable debugging mode.
2. Install redmi pc suite on PC.

Haow many of MT members are facing difficulty in getting their redmi phones getting detected on their PC with USB? I have tried everything on the internet but in vain. Did anyone get this lonmg standing problem fixed by some method somehow.
Please Share any step which solved this problem. And I think phone manufactures should not drag such bugs for so long.

Redmi 5 is a Xiaomi phone and it seams to be a pretty common issue, probably because the pc suite been discontinued. I don't have a Xiaomi phone and the workarounds that exist are not conclusive enough IMO so best option would be to contact the support.

On the phone, swipe down from the top, you will see something like "USB charging this device". Tap for more options.
Tap.
Choose "Transfer files"
Now your PC will see the phone

Get on their forum and search your problem, or post there, if you can't find the right answer. There are several other things that can prevent the PC from seeing the phone.
