Today, June 16, 2016, Jide Technology, the creators of the well-known Android-x86-based Remix OS, have announced an official partnership with Android-x86's founder as well as the availability of multiple new Android PCs powered by Remix OS.
Jide Technology has grown a lot in the last couple of years, and today they are proud to announce that the company is already capable of making partnerships with various hardware manufacturers to ship Android PCs and 2-in-1 tablets with Remix OS pre-installed. What this means is that they will thus allow users to run Google's Android operating system on more devices as their primary desktop environment.
"2016 has been an incredibly exciting year for Jide Technology, highlighted by the launch of Remix OS for PC and the several quality partners that we have been fortunate to announce," said Jeremy Chau, Jide Technology CEO and co-founder. "Now, companies and brands that we have always admired are reaching out to us. It’s a win-win situation as we continue to push the capabilities of Android PCs."
But first, the Jide Technology team is happy to announce that Chih-Wei Huang, the founder of the Android-x86 open source project designed to port the latest Android operating to desktop PCs, has now officially joined the creators of Remix OS as the x86 Technology Lead. The company believes that his knowledge of porting Android to desktop computers will further advance the development of Remix OS.
