Solved remove "ads from deleteAds"

Hi guys,

Please help me remove this "Ads by deleteAds" coming then and now while browsing. Please find the attached images.

Before we start please read and note the following:

  • All tools we use here are completely clean and do not contain any malware. If your antivirus detects them as malicious, please disable your antivirus and then continue.
  • If during the process you run across anything that is not in my instructions, please stop and ask. If any tool is running too much time (few hours), please stop and inform me.
  • I visit forum several times at day, making sure to respond to everyone's topic as fast as possible. But bear in mind that I have private life like everyone and I cannot be here 24/7. So please be patient with me. Also, some infections require less, and some more time to be removed completely, so bear this in mind and be patient.
  • Please stay with me until the end of all steps and procedures and I declare your system clean. Just because there is a lack of symptoms does not indicate a clean machine. If you solved your problem yourself, set aside two minutes to let me know.
  • Please attach all report using

That being told, if any evidence of illegal OS, software, cracks/keygens or any other will be revealed, any further assistance will be suspended. If you are aware that there is this kind of stuff on your machine, remove it before proceeding!
The same applies to any use of P2P software: uTorrent, BitTorrent, Vuze, Kazaa, Ares... We don't provide any help for P2P, except for their removal. All P2P software has to be uninstalled or at least fully disabled before proceeding!

Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.
  • Install the progam and select update.
  • Once updated, click the Settings tab, in the left panel choose Detection & Protection and tick Scan for rootkits.
  • In the same tab, under PUP and PUM detections make sure it is set to Treat detections as malware.
  • Click the Scan tab, choose Threat Scan is checked and click Scan Now.
  • If threats are detected, click the Apply Actions button. You will now be prompted to reboot. Click Yes.
  • Upon completion of the scan (or after the reboot), click the History tab.
  • Click Application Logs and double-click the Scan Log.
  • At the bottom click Export and choose Text file.
Save the file to your desktop and include its content in your next reply.
 
Hi,

Please find attached the scan-log.txt as you had asked. Also since i had installed the anti-malware tool earlier, my trial license has just expired :(

I only have Chrome and IE installed. I use only chrome. Now i just tried IE and it seems to work smoothly.
 
Yes sure. Would you want me to do some settings change etc. in google chrome before i uninstall and re-install?
 
Hi,

I removed chrome, restarted the machine. Now i see the windows 8 welcome screen where i would normally hit Enter key and type password and login. But now i just see the screen. It is not responding after pressing on any key. I tried long pressing the power key still no change. Please find the attached image. Am stuck at this screen.

Try this:

It seems my problem is that the computer thinks the Ctrl key is depressed. Try typing into the Windows logon password box while holding the Ctrl key down - nothing types in there. Pressing both Ctrl keys at the same time cures the problem temporarily - anyone know a permanent fix?

nope. That doesn't work either. The message says about typing in the password box. But here i do not see the password box itself. Neverthless i tried pressing both ctrl keys same time and pressed Enter. Still no way forward
 
Thanks a lot for your help. Since i was using HP notebook, i followed instructions in their support side and did a recovery. Now my machine is back to when it was when i bought it. As a bonus, i believe the adware would also be gone :) . I have to be careful so that no more gets added :). Could you please share some link where i can read about some tools/ways to prevent this from happening again. Prevention is better than cure.
