RockMelt, the Chromium-based social Web browser has reached a new milestone today. Following its first public beta that was released in early March, RockMelt Beta 2 has started being pushed to the browser's users. The new version brings many new features, alongside the usual bug fixes, performance enhancements, and a new base for the browser -- Chromium 10, which also powers Google Chrome's stable channel releases at the moment. The previous RockMelt beta was based on Chromium 9, and it's nice to see it kept up-to-date.

Update: Nothing is available from their site, no signups or store apps.

Yahoo has bought them out.

We’re excited to tell you that Rockmelt has been acquired by Yahoo!

I like this browser when i first use it in 2011,but last year when i search for it,download site i don't which was that show a tip below download link somthing like that "use this browser at your own ,some user post about privacy issue" So i gave up the the idea to downloading.

The Rockmelt Browser idea was scrapped a long time ago, they then released apps for mobile devices and recently for Windows RT, but even that has disappeared.

Now that Yahoo! owns them, not sure what they'll bring out. Looks uncertain.
