Advice Request Running an Anti-Key Logger alongside an AV?

I am running ESET IS with my Windows 10 PC. I came across some websites advertising Anti-Key Logger programs like Key Scrambler, Spyshelter, and Zemana Anti-Logger?

Have you used any of these or similar alongside your AV?

Are these programs worth using or just a waste of resources?

I have been using ZAL along with AVs for a long time, never had any problems. Its really difficult to say whats going to happen if Anti Key Loggers are not used alongside an AV. If you are using a good AV like Kaspersky, Eset or BD then other things are not that much of a requirement, though they add an extra layer of protection. But one problem is that more security soft you add there's more chance of false positive, I'm saying it from my own experience.

Eset IS is HIPS, and Spyshelter is HIPS. They are very likely to conflict. Spyshelter hates any other HIPS. This is too bad, because Spyshelter is the best.

Keyscrambler will probably work. My problem with keyscramber, besides its impact on system performance, is the fact that the free version will not scramble my LastPass master password -- which is exactly what I need to protect.

I used to use an Anti-Keylogger ages ago. Stopped using one due to system performance & Zemana stopping their free version of ZAL.

I recently switched to GDATA. Enjoying it so far. Supposively, its built in keylogger is good.

For your question, I wouldn't worry about it. ESET is good enough.

I don't like adding layer over layer of protection (multiple separate security programs). In a real world scenario, the only thing you'll probably get is less money and more headache. Windows has come a long way since 7.

Sound as bad luck as on one of my machines the free version has Zero impact on the system and it's performance and the LastPass master password ( in Opera ) get's scrambled every single time.

Anti-loggers aren't needed if your AV has a BB/HIPS.
Anti-loggers were useful back in the days where we had just basic AVs.

Curious then...do you use an anti key-logger...if so which?

I don't go out of my way to have an antikeylogger. If it is part of a security software that I installed, then I am happy, and if not, I don't worry about it.

If you need an AntiLogger then... maybe you have something on your PC you should not have.
