Safegroup.pl On-demand Scan Test

The test was attended by 20 security programs. Setup program changed to the maximum.
Scanning was carried out in each of the programs two times to eliminate as many pests and that the result is more reliable.

Updates of virus database programs were conducted October 1, then off, programs that scan a "cloud" test were among the very day that the result was the most reliable compared to other programs in the test.

Has already become a tradition that the test was conducted in a virtual machine - VMWare Workstation running Windows XP HE SP3 with 800Mb memory framework. The system updated.

For testing I used a package containing 30 000 malware files, the package has a capacity of about 15GB, gathered from our forum and the internet for the test.

The package included a variety of viruses, rootkits since the trojans and backdoors any smaller and larger caliber, always causing harm to the users.

Test made on my notebook from Lenovo, the two core processor, 2x 2.0GHz, 4Gb ram.
Scanning time programs may vary on different hardware configuration.

not too surprised by CIS , Panda, KIS, NIS but very by AVAST, F-Secure and EAM and more by MBAM.

Comodo antivirus ..first in detection...lived to see this day....while I do like the heuristic engine in CIS I don't think that it could repeat this performance if were tested by Av-Comparatives.The scanning time was also very good when compared with the competition 15GB in 120 minutes.
I know COMODO that likes prevention more than detection but spotting a malicious file before even being downloaded into the system is the best way to prevent infections.
For me what is more important in this test are the scanning times....NIS,KIS and MSE with a very high scanning time.........

i wonder the setting for CIS ^^ they say they stopped the databases updates the 1st october (so they start that day) but when it was finished? and if the cloud was allowed and the test was finished later, the cloud is up to date ? no?

about the scanning time, indeed NIS is reputed to be faster.

Big difference for Panda Cloud IS and Panda Cloud AV.

I thought Cloud AV would more perform better since Cloud Engine is used for up to date for the newly files.
