Today at IFA in Berlin, Samsung lifted the curtain on its first Windows Phone 8 device, the ATIV S. This is just the first in a big lineup of new hardware that’s coming with Windows Phone 8, but it’s a seriously impressive opening salvo. Samsung built the ATIV S with the latest and greatest technology, especially for anyone who want a superphone that’s equal parts powerhouse and head turner.

heh, Maybe I'll take a look into this instead of the Galaxy S3.
I've always been interested in Windows Phones but never did a lot of research.

Looks a lot like the Galaxy S Advance. (which is not blocked)

Not really impressive and innovative, but should be legal proof (due to the small curve in the design ?)

I was going to as well, but WP8 is just around the corner. Might be worth the wait? Plus WP7/7.5 won't be upgradable to WP8.

http://nokiagadgets.com/2012/08/13/rumor-nokia-slide-revealing-wp7-8-and-wp8-differences/ (Rumor)

Mostly hardware changes in for WP8, hence the update to WP7.8, correct?

I will be waiting for WP8, so I can run it more long-term than if I were to get a WP7.x phone.

I hope what Nokia claims to be right. Anyway what I want is an entry level smartphone or a feature phone, that is more than enough.

That has been for a while. Samsung Wave runs on Bada and Omnia runs on WP. Their designs and build quality are far better than Android ones.

ATIV is VITA backwards.

As for me, I've changed my mind. I'm going for Android, not waiting around for WP8.
