Rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the first smartphone with 8 GB RAM.
Samsung could definitely use some positive news, and if true, might take the sting away from a very bad 2016 for Samsung.

Samsung is eager to show the world that it shouldn’t just be remembered for making exploding smartphones. It looks set to do that by dazzling the world with its most powerful handset yet in the Galaxy S8.

The Samsung Galaxy S8, due out in 2017, could mean a big memory jump for Sammy which hasn’t gone above the 4GB RAM mark in its handsets yet. According to Weibo sources the Galaxy S8 could be the world’s first 8GB smartphone to ship worldwide.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is also rumoured to feature 10nm chips either in the form of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or a new Exynos processor. Backed by faster UFS 2.1 flash memory and that 8GB RAM number, this is set to be a ridiculously quick handset. In fact it’ll have more power than most smartphone apps can take full advantage of.

The S8 could also feature a 4K display, enhanced camera and battery combo.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 and a larger Galaxy S8 Plus in 2017 either at MWC in February or at a New York event in April.

8GB of RAM!! I cant hardly use my Note 5 to the full advantage of the hardware inside it. Definitely going to have to get a hold of one of these when it comes out. Preferably with the Exynos processor. Last time i dealt with a Snapdragon processor was in my S5 and it would overheat too much.

Some of the rumors sounds pretty far fetched, S Pen and 6 inch display would most likely be a Note 8 feature. Finally gonna be able to upgrade this year and had some high hopes for the galaxy 8 to remain Pocketable, non explodable, and Andriod 7.1.1

Is 8GB of RAM really useful? I have 8GB on my PC, but apart from when I'm running VMs or photo-shopping large images I seldom use more than 4GB. On a phone I'm unsure what you'd need 8GB for. I'm not a gameplayer though, or into VR so I guess it might be useful on those things - I'm unsure. Even having numerous apps open I won't think would use that much.

The smartphone with 10nm processor and 8GB of RAM will be faster than some laptops

Alright Samsung, in order to appreciate at least 7GB of RAM then better removed unnecessary 3rd party programs which are not needed at all.

[Slow Clap] :), I'm impress of the unique features which indeed an X factor like UFS and better processor, however the battery should be concern here that must not be a bummer..
