Samsung’s new Galaxy Book4 series laptops aren’t the only new PCs with a Copilot key, but they do offer unique Copilot features in a continuation of this company’s unique partnership with Microsoft.
“Samsung’s Galaxy Book4 series have a new built-in Copilot key in the U.S., providing faster access to your everyday AI companion in Windows 11, harnessing the capabilities of AI to make the things you do every day easier,” Microsoft’s Athima Chansanchai says. “[And] if you [also] have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, Copilot can connect it with the Galaxy Book4. You can then find, read or summarize text messages from your phone and create and send messages—as well as tap into other smartphone functions—on your PC.”
That requires a bit of explanation: Thanks to a long-running partnership with Microsoft, Samsung offers its customers some unique features when they pair their Galaxy flagship to a Windows 11 PC using that system’s Phone Link app. But this partnership is now being expanded to the Galaxy Book4 series laptops, so that customers with both device types receive another level of unique functionality through Phone Link.
“Microsoft Copilot empowers you to find, read or summarize text messages from your Samsung Galaxy phone and even automatically create and send messages on your behalf directly from your PC,” Samsung explains. “These capabilities mean you can let Copilot track down restaurant recommendations your friends have made in previous messages, search visitor reviews on your browser, then send a message to your partner to ask if they want to go for dinner that evening, all directly from your PC. Without having to turn on your phone and open each individual app, the Galaxy Book4 series lets you access smartphone functions and information faster and smarter.”
