You can support the project through donations, any help will be greatly appreciated.
If you have issues with an update installation, just uninstall the previous version keeping the sandboxie.ini and reinstall the new build.

Stable Builds [here] remains at 1.12.7...at this time.

Edit:
DavidXanatos:
[...] hotfix build 1.12.8b uploaded in the current release:
https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases/download/v1.12.8/Sandboxie-Plus-x64-v1.12.8b.exe

I have also downgraded 1.12.8 to a Pre-release.

If everything works out the fixed build will be released and 1.12.9 final

Thank you for sharing the information about the new release of Sandboxie-Plus v1.12.8. This build addresses several important issues and introduces some new features. Here is a summary of the changes:

Added:
- Japanese language support in the Plus UI.

Fixed:
- An issue where managing device maps resulted in the error "SBIE2321 Cannot manage device map: C0000034 / 11."
- The inability to run explorer.exe in an emulated admin sandbox.
- A potential BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) issue with Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) when trace logging is enabled.
- A problem where the "Run from Sandbox > Run > Program" and "Run from folder" options did not use the same working directory.
- The UseNewSymlinkResolver feature causing applications to create both the symbolic link and the target folder.
- A bug in the Plus UI where the notification window became stuck when a modal dialog appeared.

Please let me know if this build is stable, I'll push it to the auto updater probably some time tomorrow if no apparent issues appear.
Also I hope this will be the last 1.12.x build and having a stable base we can proceed to the long announced experimental 1.13.0 build
