Question sandboxie-plus with G Data av

I am trying a 30-day trial of G Data Internet Security & liking it so far, but I see in sbie+ 1.14.2 that there's a template for using G Data and it has black square in the enable box instead of the more typical check-mark. I am not familiar with G Data yet, but it seems powerful with its firewall which is why there's a template in sbie+. Is sbie+ compatible with G Data? (why black box instead of a checkmark??
PS I tried to login to the sbie+ support forum where I do have a registered user name and pw, and login failed -- very annoying since IIRC I paid $40 to use sbie+. (perhaps that login was blocked by G Data but did not tell me)

Yes, Sandboxie Plus (sbie+) is compatible with G Data. The black square in the enable box usually indicates a partial selection. It's not a compatibility issue, just a different way of showing the selection status. As for the login issue, it could be due to various reasons, not necessarily G Data. Try resetting your password or contacting sbie+ support for assistance.

I installed sbie+ 1.14.3 over 1.14.2 and now there's a normal check-mark in the enable box for G Data template, so good & will "test" sbie+ with G Data more tomorrow.

I am also a fan of GDATA, but... it keeps breaking my VPN connection ( Mullvad ) no internet connection then, then i got errors that the Virus Definitions can not be updated, when i disconnect Mullvad, all is Oke again.

With TM, no issues with Mullvad, so i believe the GDATA Firewal is buggy, since there is an exception created for Mullvad with full rights, this also happend when i used PIA VPN. The weird thing is, when using the GDATA VPN, no issues......

good to know, I'll be watching for firewall issues. so far at +1 day it's been ok. initially blocked my vpn in autopilot mode, so disabled autopilot and got a lot of popups about connections to allow or block, then when back to autopilot and few alerts and vpn is connecting now in autopilot. How recent were your problems with Mullvad?

Mullvad has become somewhat buggy for me lately, mostly using Proton vpn with no issues...
