@Captain Awesome TechSmith Camtasia Studio is one of the best that I have ever used; therefore, I voted for this program. A strong number two on my list would be Icecream Screen Recorder.

One that isn't on the list that is really good is Snagit by TechSmith. Between TechSmith Camtasia Studio and Snagit by TechSmith, these two are great.

Ashampoo Snap is great as well! You can sometimes get this software for free through a giveaway. I believe they just had one not long ago. I can see if this is still available if your interested in this software.

Yes, Faststone capture is one of the paid products i use. It is a very good piece of software for screen capture, may that be screenshot or recording.
Too bad it is not available for android.
