Welcome to MalwareTips @seanss :)
Personally speaking I like your config..
I like that you have UAC at Max setting, and that you are using KIS as your main security.
I also use Glasswire free, and I like it's traffic monitoring & Intrusion detection capabilities.
I am also a big fan of uBlock Origin..
Did you know that the:
Disconnect Advertising, Malvertising, Malware, & Tracking Filters are available in uBlock Origin?
Filterlists.com is a useful resource for uBlock filters.

Thank you for sharing your security config :)

I would enable Smartscreen. Set MBAM for scanning if you only use it for scanning. Adding Zemana for more scanning better than HMP and MB IMO. Avast is a good AV unless you are fine with Voodosheild which I like but don't have as much experience with unlike quite a few members here.

Thanks so much! And after browsing with the extensions for almost a full year now I've noticed a ton of times where Chrome would get mad because the extensions were trying to block the same tracker:D I'll take a look at FilterLists (thanks for mentioning that!) and probably remove Disconnect from my browser!

Very good configuration at all

One thing concern: Why you need to disable Smartscreen for desktop? Sometimes it can save you when AV's failed to do so.
This is a really funny story, actually-- I had literally no idea what the status of SmartScreen was until this config forum asked me about it. I had forgotten about it since I was gravitating to more third-party security solutions; I basically forgot about Windows' built-in protection. But I'll re-enable it now, better to be safe than sorry! Thanks for the suggestion!

As others have said enabling Smartscreen would be a wise decision but other than that your config is good!
I edited your config to include KIS 2017 & Glasswire.
Thanks for sharing your config :)

How do you like KIS 2017?
I actually had a debate about using KIS, I was deciding between KIS and BitDefender since my BitD licence was expiring, and chose Kaspersky since it had great performance on Windows 10 and has raving reviews from almost every lab that tests it. And I'm really happy I chose Kaspersky! Unlike BitDefender, it actually scanned what I told it to when I ran a custom scan-- and it's as simple as dragging and dropping a file into KIS to initiate a scan.
I don't use KSN because I'm not comfortable with the information they collect, but other than that I use most of the features. I personally needed a firewall and AV program (and that's it), so I didn't go w/ Total Security and I'm happy I did. Kaspersky doesn't slow down my system, it's unobtrusive, and the 2017 version has a new interface that looks a lot better than last year's. Plus it doesn't try to force me to use a billion useless features like parental controls and online backup (*cough* Norton), so I'd definitely recommend it if you haven't given it a try already!
