Hello! I seem to be having the same problem with that s dot hklmm deal. I first started having issues on my laptop while browsing on chrome about a week ago, and IE has issues too (I never use IE but I thought reinstalling chrome might help when I started troubleshooting). I don't see anything unusual that I've downloaded or installed for the past couple months. I have windows 7, 64 bit. I'm commenting through an iPad currently because the problems seem to be getting worse; the past two times I've opened chrome (today) Norton alerts me that it blocked a high severity threat. Here's a description of the issues I'm seeing:
While browsing on chrome, clicking on any link redirects to an ad site with some "alert" box that pops up over the site. I have to force close chrome through task manager. I've learned how to tell when I'm about to be redirected - when hovering my mouse pointer over a link, there's a box at the bottom of the screen that shows the url of the link I'm about to click. Since having these issues, it will rapidly flash between the correct url and s dot Hklmm .
Any idea how to handle this if my ability to access the Internet on my laptop has been crippled?
