Signed into Youtube but not Gmail.

Hi, I noticed I am still singed into Youtube, even after I sign out of Gmail.
Is this possible? I thought they work together.

When you reload a YouTube tab that is open in the browser, you are logged out.

1. While playing YouTube, log out of Gmail.
2. The background video is playing continuously.

Is it like this?
Logout does not seem to be affected by video playback. Even if you are actually logged out, you will be displayed as logged in unless you reload.

Gmail and YouTube are owned by Google, but they are different services. You can use one login for all google services, the cookie in accounts.google.com will take care of it, but every login is saved in its retrospective cookie, like youtube.com and gmail.com, so each account needs to be logged out separately.
