I had ZAL Free during using Windows 7. If you're using an Encrypted connection whlist web browsing, there's no reason not to use an AntiLogger during normal PC use.
I know I will be using Zemana AntiLogger Free once it's reached it's final Beta/RC testing period. The reason being, as malware evolves I want something to protect my keystrokes from everything.
I assume you mean AVG LinkScanner Surf-Shield? LinkScanner was discontinued and replace by AVG Secure Search - unless it remains the paid versions of AVG.
