+ Improvements to the auto-update feature,
+ Reduction of virus databases for efficiency.

Is the Software good

It has absolutely terrible detection rates and does not get regular signature updates. Instead of downloading signature updates, the only way to get new signatures is to install new versions when they are released. New versions are only released every month or so.

To be fair, it has been specifically designed to be used as a secondary antivirus and not as a primary form of protection and this is made very clear on its website.

1) Additional Protection for your PC, mostly compatible with another antivirus products!
Almost all other antivirus cannot be installed with another antivirus, it's because the antivirus designed for main protection in your PC. It's not the case for Smadav, Smadav is an antivirus that is designed as additional (second layer) protection, so it's mostly compatible and could be installed and run together with another antivirus in your PC. Smadav using their own technique (behavior, heuristic, and whitelisting) to detect and clean virus that improves security in your PC.

Due to the terrible detection rates, I'd recommend avoiding it, as I don't believe it will do very little to improve security.
