System Restore not auto creating Restore Points (Solved) - the solution is here ..

Problem:

After run some cleaning software - with the option to overwrite the free hard disk space (to hide deleted files) with some random data - System Restore has stopped the automatic creation of Restore Points, and purged existing Restore Points.

The solution:

In the Events Viewer / System, at the date of run cleaning software, you read:
'Event ID 107. Source: SRService. Description: The System Restore service has been suspended because there is not enough disk space available on the drive \\?\Volume{95e0434a-0fff-11dd-8ae4-806d6172696f}\. System Restore will automatically resume service once at least 200 MB of free disk space is available on the system drive.'

So System Restore stops working, because all free space is overwrited with this random data, so taken. For System Restore, there is no free space.

Solution: ex. in CCleaner (in 'Advanced' section) check 'Wipe free space' for all drives (look on Options / Settings) and make cleaning (about 30 minutes). After that, uncheck the 'Wipe free space' box.
Now System Restore will automatically work again, creating the Restore Points every 24 hours.
System Restore requires the machine to be in an idle state to create system check points ( .. if you go sleep, close your PC ..).
To check immediately if Windows gets to automatic Restore Points snapshots, tourn 'off', then 'on' the System Restore - then Windows System Restore instantly create its first Restore Point.

Problem is solved.
