Sony has released an instructional video meant to assist players who experience a somewhat nasty issue with their PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, that makes the device unexpectedly eject the disc tray.

The issue is fairly common, and Sony is working on fixing it, but in the meanwhile, if you're experiencing it, you might want to watch the video below.

The process involves several steps. First, you have to hold down the PlayStation 4's power button until you hear two beeps. Then, wait for thirty seconds and unplug the console from its power source for at least three minutes.

After completing these steps, your PlayStation 4 unit should resume normal behavior and display milder manners, at least when it comes to keeping discs in.

If that doesn't work for you, Sony advises that you visit the Online Service Request page in order to file for a repair order, arranging to send your system in for service.

While this is basically nothing more than the simple "check if it's plugged in, then turn it off and on again" solution, which lines up with hitting it with a hammer until it yields on the scale of tech support complexity, it mighty just save you from some unwanted hassle.
