This is very interesting.. Personally I am not the one to believe in Malvertising. Going to make a VM with my security config verbatim on it and see if I get infected. :)

@Spawn don't see why people have to use an adblocker of Spotiy Free then. The rest of the programs that keep their machines secure should be enough. After all if you want no ads on Spotify and they don't allow you to use an adblocker get their Premium. :p

I don't understand what you're trying to say.

Spotify Free users have been affected by Malvertising not only Windows, but Linux and Mac OS/X as well. Just because users have chosen to use the Free version, doesn't mean they should be upgrade just to get rid of the Ads.

Yeah if you upgraded to the premium they wouldn't have ads or that "large" chance of being infected. :)
