I am using CC DNS, i've entered DNS addresses in my router settings.
L'n'S is, IMO, the best packet filter firewall. The only "problem" for some users is configung the rules.

You seem locked up ok
I can recommend a Standard user, it is known to grant more security.
You should try Fanboys TPL for IE9. It blocks more then the official TPLs.

Look 'n' stop is a firewall done in the good old fashion. Every time an application tries to phone home you get a pop-up asking for the final yay or nay.
Basically nothing gets out without you knowing about it.

No imaging program, no back up program and no bootable CDs.
All important files on external HDD.
That's it!

I would still recommend making a System Repair disc (just in-case), search from the Start Menu for "Create a System Repair Disc".
