Me too, hit twice. But no big deal. Here's why. To make it easier to deal with malware, I installed a second copy of windows in a separate partition. This is legal because you are using only one computer and cannot run both copies at the same time.

First: I used EASEUS Partition Master to create a new partition. [<http://www.partition-tool.com>] I have a laptop and used only 25 GB and named it "B". I ran EASEUS all night to create the new partition by shifting old partitions. [I have separate partitions for programs and data.]

Second: Install Windows in partition B.

Third: Install your essential programs together with anti-malware programs in partition B. I like Malwarebytes for this. But maybe 3 or 4 different ones would be a good idea.

Fourth: When I am booted up in drive C and get hit by a virus, I reboot in drive B and run the anti-malware programs. If I have urgent work to deal with I have my essential programs already installed on drive B, my business data on drive E and personal data on drive F and do not lose time while the anti-malware programs are cleaning drive C.

Cheers

P.S. With EASEUS you can hide drives which means you can temporarily hide drives B, D or E giving an extra layer of security.

Thanks, willl definataly try to check it out more thoroughly when I have more time at hand. But so far, so good as far as the removal of malware...have don complete sytems scan and all and it looks clear for the time being. I guess i could always try to browse on a pornsite or something :D to see if a malware kicks in - but i dont wanna push my luck now..;) (was actually browsing on youtube and doin some officework when the ukash malware hit, so I guess its irrelevant of what sites you use when malware hits you...)
But again, thank you all for being here and I'll do my best to contribute to updates on whats happening and learn from you all. :)
