A few other suggestions:
Free Download Manager: for downloading files over the Internet, it has all the features I need. There's a portable version in case you don't want to install it.
Calibre: ebook management, for those who eventually read books.
Paint.net: MS Paint replacement.
Veracrypt: Disk encryption tool.
qbittorrent: Bittorrent client, open source, lightweight, no bloats, no adware
FFMpeg: comprehensive video/audio encoding tool. Command line only. If you prefer a GUI front end, you can try Handbrake.

___EDIT:___________________________________________________
few minutes ago i found this upload tool that can be installed on your PC: you dont need a browser anymore if you want to upload files to VirusTotal :
Winja 3.0.6248 Build 52517 at majorgeeks.com

description from majorgeeks.com
Winja uploads files to VirusTotal and can retrieve reports, scan running processes, startup, services, and more. It is the replacement for Phrozen VirusTotal Uploader.

The program was redesigned from scratch and uses VirusTotal API in a much more efficient way to save network resources and time. It can check for a previous existence of a scan in the archives of VirusTotal before uploading the file itself.

Winja takes Phrozen VirusTotal Uploader and turns it into much more of an all-in-one system utility that can look at startup files, scheduled tasks, processes, and services to check suspicious files on VirusTotal. This can be handy for anyone cleaning malware who might be unsure if a file is legit or not.

Example of application:

I just used 7zip yesterday to create a .tar bootloader to flash with Odin.

not all of these are daily... WhoCrashed...
Yeah, you are right about this one not being a daily. But it's good to keep it around. :)

Foobar: Audio/video manager and player
Kudos to the one who named it. :)

And there is another one with a strange name i recommend: SUMo (short from Software Update Monitor). I also keep LightShot around. And IObit Uninstaller, for it helps me delete leftover files/folders. Previously i used to use much more programs, but lately my mantra is something like "If you don't use it, ditch it".
