Somehow I ended up having 2 (at least 2) male ares installed on my computer today.

I read instructions on how to remove one and after Uninstaller it said to restart. I did....and now the 2nd one, Super Optimizer, is running during start up and when I quit it my computer never finishes starting up.

Help!

Sorry...not sure how I can install that program when I can't start up my computer. I'm using this forum via my phone. (Sorry for the typos above.)

Should I install that program on my phone? Seems.like the report it generates won't tell you anything about the computer with the issue.

You need to transfer Farbar Recovery Scan Tool somehow on your PC. Can you boot into Safe Mode with Networking and download this tool from there?

Sorry, I should have done it in my previous message.

Start Windows 7/Vista/XP in Safe Mode with Networking
  1. Immediately after the computer is powered on or restarted (usually after you hear your computer beep), tap the F8 key in 1 second intervals.
  2. After your computer displays hardware information and runs a memory test, the Advanced Boot Options menu will appear.
  3. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking and press ENTER. For more information about Safe Mode options, click here for Windows XP or click here for Windows Vista/Windows 7.

Here are the files. Now in safe mode, I uninstalled Super Optimizer and Vonxxxx, which had also made its way on there.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.
