Here is my 2018 config preparing me for the unknowns of sophisticated virus and malwares for the upcoming 2019.

Something I have considered for a long time and wanted to try.

Shadow Mode on PC at all time, data and files to external drive, Monthly Backup after patch tuesday, no UAC, no smartscreen (too many reminders) as protection is already provided by SEP and virtualization mode. Every Patch day, I load up previous snapshot of last months backup to update and then back up the snapshot after update, rinse and repeat. Hope its enough for 2019 and beyond.

Noted with Thanks Everyone! I will enable smartscreen (tho my opinion is that with SEP14 its redundant) and UAC annoys me so much!

Nonetheless, I will heed to all your great suggestions

Funny Story to share -

Years Ago When I was a newbie
having multiple layers of protection didn't prevent me from a malwarie
Years Later while still a dummie
simple and single protection prevent me from getting a ransonwarie
Is it because I learn what not to clickie or touchie?

Important: Set UAC to Always Notify. If you wish you can also name the VPN provider you have as well. Everythng is good. Thanks for sharing.
