I can't seem to get rid of this chrome extension. It puts ads everywhere, with a small link to the lovely company that gave me this extension. On their website they have steps to disable the extension but they are very basic and don't work. They also offer to install a cookie that will disable the extension for 24 hours... How kind!

I've attached the log files. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do!

Also here is the link to the website.

Download attached fixlist.txt on the same location as FRST (otherwise the fix won't work)
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to the operating system

Open FRST, and click Fix. Attach me that report after it is finished.

Fingers Crossed!

EDIT: She's dead, Jim!

You officially get my vote for greatest forum/poster of all time.

If you wouldn't mind explaining where the fixlist comes from? I am asked to fix a lot of peoples computers and I've never heard of this until today (from you in another post).

This is something that I am learning for years and it is not easy to tell you everything here. Don't get me wrong :)

I can recommend you this software to avoid Adware in the future. Unchecky is very light and install and forget program. It works in background and has auto update feature, so beleive me you will forget it is installed.

http://unchecky.com/

Read here how it works --> http://www.howtogeek.com/179758/how-to-avoid-junkware-offers-with-unchecky/

The following will implement some post-cleanup procedures:

=> Please download DelFix by Xplode to your Desktop.

Run the tool and check the following boxes below;
checkmark.png
Remove disinfection tools
checkmark.png
Create registry backup
checkmark.png
Purge System Restore

Click Run button and wait a few seconds for the programme completes his work.
At this point all the tools we used here should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:\DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.
