I researched a bit about Taplika, but still couldn't find a solution to the black screen problem.
As I said, only the task manager, and anything accessible from that works. Everything works fine in safe mode.
The laptop force restarted with the blue screen error when i tried to remove Internet explorer addons.
Please see current issues and symptoms for the details.

All my files are still accessible in safe mode. I Just wanted to know if this black screen could be resolved without having to re install windows.

Thank you,
Niranjan

This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

The laptop restarted normally, without black screen.
Thank you for your help!
If its not much trouble, could you brief me what the problem was?

Thank you again,
Niranjan

P.S: Before this, I force stopped explorer.exe process tree, and restarted it, for the screen to go back to normal. So was it a problem with the explorer?
