Whats the difference between TCP and UDP connections? From what I read, TCP has error correction and guarantees that the other side will get the packets. But UDP is faster but the packets could be intercepted.

So why don't vpn companies use TCP for their connections?

Both can be intercepted.

Since vpn data in encrypted. So you should not worry about interception.

Since UDP does not have ACK and error correction, i guess upper layer of protocols are doing these missing tasks.
