In case you hadn't noticed, mainstream rock almost doesn't exist anymore. Not many rock bands have had any mainstream success in the past few years and those who have usually did so by selling out. Why is that? I think this article explains it pretty accurately. How the downfall of grunge/alternative rock from mainstream in the mid-to-late 90s directly contributed to the downfall of rock music overall in popularity.

Synthetic Bands, music made by machine instead of by a true talent, and some others that I wont list ,so as not offend anyone's musical tastes, have all contributed to the demise of rock music. That is real rock music of course.

But the number one killer of all music, the Damian of pop,the anti Christ of the music industry......................................

:666: JUSTIN BIEBER :666:

*I apologize to any 9 year old members whom I have offended with my last comment of this post

Please can some 1 explain me y do people keep making fun of Justin Bieber. Such a talented kid he is and very good singer then y make fun of him :/

Well I probably can't deny that he has a good voice but if you are a musician or have ever played a musical instrument than you can appreciate the art of music and the time and practice that goes into mastering your instrument and writing music.

Now here comes Justin a cute youtube sensation with a good voice, who has probably never even written a song himself, that makes the young girls go crazy and is seen for his money making potential. It is really not hard to see why he is made fun of.

"Art as expression, not as market campaigns" a wise musician in a Power Trio from Canada who is a drummer once wrote

hmm thanks for the reply sir. That means he got this image and was started being made fun because many people don't consider him as a great talent or did Justin Beiber did something wrong. I don't follow him too much but yea like some of his hit songs :)

I for one can't stand his voice and hearing him say "shawty" is pretty annoying. For another, a lot of his songs match the stereotypical frat guy with acoustic guitar image (a teenager or adult in their 20s playing an insincere soft rock ballad trying to impress some girl).

But whatever, it's not Justin Bieber who killed off rock music. It's been dead/declining for some time before he became a somebody, the only rock bands to get actual hits being Nickelback and Green Day (plus some one-hitters).

when i see the actual "variety music" like Bieber and co, i sit and say to myself :

"Umbra...lucky you are a Metal adept" :666:
