Hello :)

This post is made because I have a huge project, and I want to close out 2021 with a bang!
Many of you know me for my test videos, or my antivirus comparisons (I'll have to do them again) .
But, as I'm going on Christmas vacations from December 22nd to December 30th, I'd like to make a huge video to end 2021, and I want your participation !

The project is simple : A Battlefield of the 10 best antivirus of 2021, selected by you !
The goal will be to elect the best security suite of the year 2021.

The shooting of my video will start on December 19th, for a publication on the 21st :)

To your keyboards! :D

The 10 I would like to see in your battle are:
  • Avast
  • Avira
  • Bitdefender
  • Eset
  • F-Secure
  • Kaspersky
  • McAfee
  • Microsoft
  • Trend Micro
  • WiseVector
same list here. I only want to replace McAfee with a better AV. Emsisoft or Panda adaptive defense maybe

Definitely Emsisoft as they aren't tested much by the regular testing sites.
Since BD's signatures have been worse over time, emsisoft is also heavily affected. I don't think it can catch up with more elites AV like Kaspersky, who doesn't depend on other engines
even BD itself did very poorly in my hub tests. The behavior blocker had to work extra hard. In the past, most malwares were detected by signatures

Bitdefender Free and Sophos Free are no longer supported (Bitdefender Free ends on January 1st 2022)
avira free, avast free, immunet, kaspersky free, ms defender, huorong, WV, SEP, 360, panda dome free.

I chose the free antivirus because I think the most popular in the world. At least here in Latin America they are.

Bitdefender
Kaspersky
Emsisoft
Avast/avg
Trend micro
Norton
Mcafee
Malwarebytes
Wvsx
F-secure
I think you should definitely give trend micro a spin too. I'm trialing it right now and so far I kind a like what I see.
The detection ratio is pretty damn good, and the behaviour blocker is top tier too.

P.S.
I tried to create a list with av's that really have BB and use it. I know Mbam doesn't have one, but it's using that AI that's really good.
Thanks!

Hello :)

Voting is now over, here are the selected antiviruses :

  • Avast
  • Avira
  • Bitdefender
  • Eset
  • F-Secure
  • Kaspersky
  • Emsisoft
  • Microsoft
  • Trend Micro
  • WiseVector
  • Norton

The shooting of the video starts tomorrow, Friday December 17th. It will take me all day.
I will edit the video afterwards.

Because of YouTube, I might post the video later on a 2nd channel, but will be published before Christmas ;)

Then we'll meet in January for the normal tests :)
