I thought I would share three apps that I use when I'm gaming:
Gamma Panel
Nvidia Inspector (only for Nvidia Cards)
Speedfan

The first is very usefull and allows you to change gamma and other settings very easily!
The second allows for custom settings and optimisations for most games!
The third is another great utility that allows profiles to be set and helps in keeping your GPU cool
All are compatible with all Win versions including 8.1
There are many more I could elaborate on but I will start with these for now!
Thanks!:)

I see, yea I was looking for an alternative for Fraps indeed, I had some issues with Fraps till I found snagit, have you try snagit? (for capturing/recording) in game purposes, how it's compare CamStudio with Snagit? camtasia is quite expensive and also i think it's not suitable for recording game play since it's quite heavy when I try the trial version, I just love to taking screenshots or recording videos, and editing those files is really fun :D
Also, can I record my voice with Audacity then combine the video files (from CamStudio) and audio files (from audacity) in camstudio? in Camtasia we can do that, but again since it's quite expensive I'm looking for an alternative for that, I'm looking for a free alternatives or more preferably the open sourced one but haven't found any that close with camtasia :(

I've never tried snagit.
I use Camtasia myself!
Other options are
Mirrillis Action
DXTory
Both are very good!
However they are not free!

Snagit lacks some interesting features, Mirrillis and DXTory looks very good, I think it's suitable for recording game play, since they isn't free or open sourced, nah I think I'll pass for now :(
Although thanks for introducing me with those, who knows I'm gonna buy it someday :D

But it's lack some interesting feature compared with camtasia, especially when it comes to editing video files, but still..it's a handy program especially for screenshot purposes! :D
