Trend Micro home products received an update to 17.8.1464 (releasedate 04/07/2025). I cannot find release notes for the home products but I seems it received the same updates as some enterprise products to solve some CVEs.

Just dumped Norton Gamers, (no I'm not a gamer. used it for the antispam and the lightness in full screen, as I stream a lot of TV on the PC). Finally updated 2 of my machines to V25, from V22. NOPE. If I wanted Avast I would have installed Avast. Just for grins I installed Trend Micro IS. Been 5 years for me, since the beta, but ITS A KEEPER. CPU with Outlook open, ant full screen live TV running hovers between 25 and 33. The V22 Norton Gamers was a tad higher, 33-45, V25 went up to 40-50, with way too many processes running and eating up resources. And my old standby ESET, ran 45-55 and occasionally 60+.
Gonna keep trialing it and see how it does in the 30 days. Still have a bunch of keys for it as well.
Gotta admit it, I'm pleasantly surprised. No blurry pic at times. No buffering. Just plain working great. Could do without the required restarts when it updates, ala ESET.
