[QUOTE="GCameron, post: 208161, member: 23624"] It's just Trovigo.. this is the second round for me. First time it popped with adobe update. I was able to stop it just by changing settings and blocking the plugin. It came back piggy back on something that else. I uninstalled but it took my home page again. . I found that it had changed my connection type to redirect through a proxy. I removed the proxy for my connections on IE and FF and no longer get my homepage hijacked; but still get it when I open a new tab. I have been unable to find the file that is forcing my new tabs to Trovi.com, In IE I can block the site so it will not load, but can't seem to find the same setting in FF... and I have been unable to find settings that control new tab behavior. I used AVG (big mistake) it cleaned up threats.. so, then my sys wouldn't boot.. safe mode to hit a restore point before I loaded the AVG... I fixed the settings, uninstalled the program/activex Now I just need to find what settings control my tab behavior.. I am running Windows Defender, it found the Adobe bundle, but I have a tb drive.. it could be a while.. I think the files that caused the issue are gone, just trying to remove the damage. thank you.
