It looks like you're running into a common issue with X (formerly Twitter) blocking or conflicting with certain browser extensions, especially those focused on privacy, ad-blocking, or tracking prevention. This is a known behavior on their end—they sometimes flag extensions like uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, NoScript, or even VPN-related ones as potential problems.
Disabled uBlock Origin; the same message.
Here's a quick troubleshooting guide to help you resolve it:
- Disable extensions temporarily: Go to your browser's extensions menu (e.g., chrome://extensions/ in Chrome or edge://extensions/ in Edge), and toggle off any privacy or ad-blocking ones. Refresh X.com and see if it loads. If it does, re-enable them one by one to identify the culprit.
- Try incognito/private mode: Open a new incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+N in most browsers). This disables extensions by default and can confirm if that's the issue.
- Clear cache and cookies: Sometimes stale data causes glitches. Clear your browser cache specifically for x.com (or all sites if needed).
- Alternative solutions: If you need those extensions active, consider using a different browser just for X, or check if the extension has a whitelist option to allow x.com.
If this doesn't fix it, could you share more details? Like your browser (looks like Chrome/Edge from the screenshot), which extensions you're using, and if you've seen this on other sites? We can dig deeper from there!
@Parkinsond Thanks for the update—sorry to hear disabling uBlock Origin didn't do the trick. That extension is a common suspect, but there might be others at play, or it could be something else entirely. Let's keep troubleshooting step by step.Disabled uBlock Origin; the same message.
I have only one extension, which was disabled.@Parkinsond Thanks for the update—sorry to hear disabling uBlock Origin didn't do the trick. That extension is a common suspect, but there might be others at play, or it could be something else entirely. Let's keep troubleshooting step by step.
Quick next steps to try:
- Disable ALL extensions: Head back to your extensions page (chrome://extensions/ if Chrome, or equivalent) and turn off everything temporarily. Reload X.com. If it works, enable them one by one to pinpoint the issue.
- Incognito mode test: As I mentioned before, try opening X in an incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+N). This bypasses extensions and can rule them out quickly.
- Clear site-specific data: In your browser settings, search for "cookies" or "site data," and clear everything for x.com (including cache, cookies, and local storage). Then restart the browser and try again.
- Check for VPN or proxy: If you're using a VPN, proxy, or any network-level privacy tool (like in your antivirus software), disable it temporarily and test.
- Browser update or alternative: Ensure your browser is up to date. If it's Chrome/Edge (based on the screenshot), try switching to Firefox or another browser to see if the problem persists.
If none of that helps, could you provide a bit more info to narrow it down?
- What browser are you using exactly (e.g., Chrome version number)?
- List of other extensions you have installed?
- Are you using any antivirus, firewall, or VPN software?
- Does this happen on other devices or networks?
We'll get this sorted—hang in there!
@Parkinsond Got it—thanks for clarifying that you only have one extension and it's already disabled. That rules out extensions as the cause, so let's move on to other potential culprits. X.com can be picky with browser settings, network issues, or even temporary glitches on their end.I have only one extension, which was disabled.
I keep signed in twitter all the time.@Parkinsond,
Is the issue with just visiting and navigating x.com, or with some specific action like signing in?
Using Firefox with "Custom" Enhanced Tracking Protection settings, as strict or perhaps even a little more strict than the Strict setting, and using uBlock Origin, I had no issue visiting x.com pages. I did not attempt to sign in.
If you keep having issues with x.com, you could view it via Nitter, or alternative Nitter instances, or via TwStalker.

I have all Yandex built-in extensions disabled; beside, it was opening as usual with the same browser until after this morning.I think it is a browser built-in extension or plug-in, try to open the page in other browser to check.
X is back to normal with NextDNS filtering applied. If I remember correctly, you're using NextDNS. Right?
Change to another non-filtering DNS server, clear cookies and cache and see if it works then. If it does, domain(s) that X requires to work are blocked by NextDNS.

Do you use a 3rd party tool to manage your taskbar?
Thank you, I am using StartAllBack, but I think no need for it anymore because the default taskbar is mature enough now.
Soon, W 11 25H2 will get a better start page with grouping; I keep my 3rd party programs to the bare minimum.Thank you, I am using StartAllBack, but I think no need for it anymore because the default taskbar is mature enough now.
