It is already included in NextDNS account; why not to add to uBOL? will not work this way?Don't do this. Use a DNS for Hagezi.
Ok then it's even more unnecessary. NextDNS is already blocking things so adding the same thing locally is totally irrelevant. uBOL probably can't even filter such a huge list.It is already included in NextDNS account; why not to add to uBOL? will not work this way?
Have I added it correctly? it is the first time trying to add custom list to uBOL after providing the developer mode.Ok then it's even more unnecessary. NextDNS is already blocking things so adding the same thing locally is totally irrelevant. uBOL probably can't even filter such a huge list.
Oh! I actually didn't know about it. Where's the documentation on how to add custom rules?Have I added it correctly; it is the first time trying to add custom list to uBOL after providing the developer mode.
I was asking if is it the right way to add custom list to dnr rules; I missed to add question mark.Oh! I actually didn't know about it. Where's the documentation on how to add custom rules?
Next DNS has nothing to do with Ublock, but ublock and Next DNS has with mozilla, so you could ask to Mozilla your matter, of adding a rule from app to app.I was asking if is it the right way to add custom list to dnr rules; I missed to add question mark.
Hagezi blocklist is compatible with adblockers; I have added it before to uBO (the old one) and to Vivaldi adblocker.Next DNS has nothing to do with Ublock, but ublock and Next DNS has with mozilla, so you could ask to Mozilla your matter, of adding a rule from app to app.
@SeriousHoax is totally right about his warning, first check the compatibility @Parkinsond and ask to a mozillian Technician as my second advice.
i've never add a rule from app to app, because symbols are verry differents, in terms of authorisation and refusing something.
may i also advice you, if you want to test something use in complementary a java script hook program inside your browser like, Noscript from Mister Maonne ^^
here is the documentation : Usage - NoScript: Own Your Browser!
I'm not sure about that, but ICYDK, you can check 'Developer mode', which will enable another tab in UI. Open the 'Develop' tab, select the 'View' drop-down, then select 'Custom DNR rules'.Oh! I actually didn't know about it. Where's the documentation on how to add custom rules?
I have made the mentioned steps, but it shows in drop-down menu the already included filter lists; I have slected custom list and added the web addresse of hagezi list; I do not know if it is going to work this way.I'm not sure about that, but ICYDK, you can check 'Developer mode', which will enable another tab in UI. Hagezi Ultimate has 381751 unique domains in it. MV3 extension has a limit on the number of rules they can have. Vivaldi's MV2 based blocker don't have that limit.I have made the mentioned steps, but it shows in drop-down menu the already included filter lists; I have slected custom list and added the web addresse of hagezi list; I do not know if it is going to work this way.
I added this list previously to Vivaldi adblocker and worked fine.
No, it doesn't. Adding custom filter lists is different than adding custom DNR rules. You need to write custom rules, or find and copy from the web. Or try asking AI to write the rules for you.I have slected custom list and added the web addresse of hagezi list; I do not know if it is going to work this way.
So what is the use of DNR?Hagezi Ultimate has 381751 unique domains in it. MV3 extension has a limit on the number of rules they can have. Vivaldi's MV2 based blocker don't have that limit.
If you want local DNS filtering, then you can use AdGuard Home/Technitium DNS Server. Both can be installed and run locally on the PC.
Well ...Hagezi blocklist is compatible with adblockers; I have added it before to uBO (the old one) and to Vivaldi adblocker.
Users can write their own custom rules. You need to read about the differences between MV2 and MV3 to understand DNR.So what is the use of DNR?
I just checked it on uBO Lite. Simply look select one of the pre-existing filters present in the developer section. You can see the example how DNR rules are created based on those. Simply adding a MV2 compatible filter list link is not going to do it. It's completely different. I thought maybe gorhill has added the ability to auto-convert MV2 filter links into declarative but that's not the case.So what is the use of DNR?
Thank you for your kind response; I do not have enough knowledge to get the difference between; was asking if there is a simple, direct method as was used by the MV2 version.@Parkinsond
I registered to answer this question.
I have written several DNR rules for uBoL even though I use the AG Browser Extension in Chrome, my primary browser.
I only know two people who use DNR rules they have written themselves: Kees1958 and myself.
Kees1958 improved one of my rules that enabled dynamic filtering in uBoL because he uses uBoL in his browser.
But he wrote it in Medium Mode + TLD.
I prefer Hard Mode + TLD.
If you have any questions, I'm here, even though I'm not very fond of the layout of this forum.

I read your posts on Wilders Security, and I like how you provide explanation and your guidance.
