No reason for that. Edge sandbox is good enough and messing with appcontained processes is not a good idea.

The built-in sandbox in Edge may not be enough protection because the sandbox would cover only the Internet activities and does not verify, for example, a malicious executable file that you downloaded from the web which could be contained in a classic sandbox such as Sandboxie.

Generally the browser open in classic sandbox would give adequate protection, by combining the tools in the sandbox of the browser and those of the sandbox that contains it, in this case Sandboxie.

Sure but you can control execution with another program. It doesn't have to be done by edge and it shouldn't be done by edge because not all users know enough like you.
I see your point about sandbox though which is valid. I hope they add it for you to use.

You mean the stuff Smartscreen is supposed to protect you from (As long as the user doesn't disable it)

I'm not saying that your reasoning is wrong, and Smartscreen certainly would make his work but Sandboxie and Edge sandbox are not the same stuff and the maximum protection you get by using a classical sandbox.

It will take more than uBlock Origin to get me to switch over, maybe with a lot more extension support in a few years i may consider Edge.
