If using AG lists for uBO, you have to update manually; the rest of filters (easylist, uBO, and hagezi) are autoupdating.
5 days is such a long period for autoupdate; the remaining lists autoupdate every couple of hours up to less than one day.uBlock Origin does update AdGuard filters normally, but it does so every 5 days because AdGuard team ships their filter with "expires" tag which explicitly says the list expires every 5 days.

Filters that doesn't have "expires" tag are updated once every 24 hours by uBlock Origin automatically.
I do not know what is downloaded exactly for each list, but easylist, uBO lists, and hegezi lists have the time stamp next to each with update since 2 hours or 12 hours for example, while tha of AG udpated since 4 days.I would add that filter lists updates have been incremental (only changes are downloaded) rather than complete since 2020.
P.S.
Therefore, uBlock Origin only downloads the differences between the current version of the list and the one on the device, rather than downloading the entire file.
Easylist expires even in more time (9 days), however, uBO checks it for update every few hoursuBlock Origin does update AdGuard filters normally, but it does so every 5 days because AdGuard team ships their filter with "expires" tag which explicitly says the list expires every 5 days.

With all due respect to Raymond Hill; AG lists work slightly better than uBO lists; meanwhile, uBO extension works better than AG extension; I am getting the best of the two worlds.
Although it has nothing to do with the topic, Raymond Hill does not believe that users should use too many AG filter lists, even in uBo.
This fact is obvious in uBoL.
I will try your fix; many thanks @SeriousHoaxThis is not a bug, this is expected behavior.
I explained it here in this comment which should clarify it for you.
Only filter list that supports differential filter is going to be updated differently. Otherwise, they follow the Expire value given in their filter list.
It seems at the moment in uBO only uBO filters, EasyList and EasyPrivacy support differential filter. EasyList cookie does not so it won't update like that.
When the AdGuard's CTO proposed differential filtering, he wanted every filter maintainer to adopt the same method for better compatibility and asked people like uBO creator gorhill for his help and opinions on what can be improved. He took some of gorhill's advice and made a few...
Regarding the fix, keep in mind that it's not really a fix for the AdGuard filter situations. It will just update supported differential filters quicker after launching the browser. I said that in the last comment of that thread,
The changes I suggested was to make uBO update supported differential filter quickly after opening the browser. So, when you open your browser, you are likely to have latest filters updates within 3-10 seconds. But since EasyList cookie doesn't support differential filter, the default update frequency is still honored.Well that didn't work. I am guessing these are not supported filter.

uBO annoyance filter causes issues only on Neowin for me; for the rest it is as good as AG annoyance one.Regarding the fix, keep in mind that it's not really a fix for the AdGuard filter situations. My AdGuard Cookie notice in uBO also hasn't updated in 4 days. Its update frequency is 5 days. For EasyList Cookies it's 7 days.
For AdGuard Cookies filter the issue will go away once...

I am facing issues with only uBO annoyance list on a single website (Neowin); with AG annoyance list, I do not have this issue.
It depends on the filter lists you choose.
For example, EasyList Cookie Notices + uBlock filters Cookie Notices are more efficient than the respective filter lists in uBo.
With AG, however, the opposite is true.
If you report on their GitHub, they will fix any reproducible issue.uBO annoyance filter causes issues only on Neowin for me; for the rest it is as good as AG annoyance one.
I just have disabled AG annoyance and enabled uBO one; Noewin disaplyed without the issue; seems Raymond has fixed the issue recently; I have not discovered as I always replace uBO one with AG after installing uBO based on my previous experience. If you report on their GitHub, they will fix any reproducible issue.

I use uBO with several browsers (Chrome, Edge, Yandex); regarding Vivaldi, I use its built-in adblocker, with replacing easylist filters by AG ones (in Vivaldi, AG filters autoupdate regularly, unlike uBO).@Parkinsond
Curiosity.
Which browser do you use with uBo?
If you like, you can write your filter lists in the dedicated thread.
I completely agree. AdGuard Cookie filter also works miles better than Easylist one.5 days is such a long period for autoupdate; the remaining lists autoupdate every couple of hours up to less than one day.
I had to use AG annoyance lists; those of easylist cause issues on certain websites.
This is cookie list. Normal Easylist expires in 4 days. I don't know why as filters should be updated at least once every 24 hours.Easylist expires even in more time (9 days), however, uBO checks it for update every few hours

I also noticed this. AdGuard filters work better than the Easylist and uBlock Origin works better as an AdGuard. With all due respect to Raymond Hill; AG lists work slightly better than uBO lists; meanwhile, uBO extension works better than AG extension; I am getting the best of the two worlds.
I have added hagezi light list to uBO; updating every few hours, with no negative impact on performance.I don't know why as filters should be updated at least once every 24 hours.
