Which MV3 extension are you using, uBlock or AdGuard?

I've tried both and prefer AdGuard because of its custom rules. However, it doesn't block ads on YouTube and requires a page refresh. uBlock doesn't block ads on YouTube by default but works well in complete mode. Do you know if the developer plans to add custom rules in the future?

I will be moving to Adguard extension, their MV3 version will be much better than Ublock Lite which is intentionally gimped and does not make full use of MV3 rules for some ideological reasons. Adguard Final Version will be able to block Youtube Ads even after moving to MV3 as they will be using Dynamic rules.

The current MV3 Experimental version is for testing and review purpose. So, you can use the normal Adguard extension and it will automatically be MV3 compatible when the time comes.

Adguard just transitioned their browser extension to Manifest v3. Announced on Sept 24.

There's a baseball game tonight. There will soda pop, candy, and popcorn. Yeah...tell you what... I think I'll do that. And try AdGuard after years of not using it.

I know why I stopped using AdGuard - uBlock performed just as well, if not better, in the browser. Filter content lists took care of ads in Microsoft Apps, Start, etc.

However, AdGuard does have multiple features available that uBlock never did.

Lifetime AdGuard is a good value and the publishers have honored their lifetime licenses since Day 1 - unlike other vendors such as SpyShelter which never honored its expensive lifetime licenses (which I suppose at this point in time is moot since that software was sold and even under the new owners it is on a trajectory to being an unprofitable and unsupportable security geek software product like any other default-deny products for the consumer market).
