My computer MBoard Maximus Ranger VII opens straight to BIOS. The only way I can get it to run is to override the boot up by selecting boot override. It then runs up, a message from MBytes states that rootkit removal has been disabled and to reset the computer in order to enable it.If I do so then the same happens, if I choose to have the rootkit disabled then the computer runs up. I have tried using CCleaner which has been installed on my computers for many years as has MBytes and am using Kaspersky as a AntiVirus. The updates for these programmes no longer work and the whole C drive looks as though it is locked into a particular state as I am unable to remove these programmes. I even tried to remove Audacity to check to see if it was only anti malware programmes had been affected.
I have been able to run the zeroaccess check which showed no infection.
I have disconnected and then reconnected the SSD and tried the windows disk to reformat but the programme goes no further than licence validation which stops it in its tracks
