I couldn't comment for this product, but its using from a well known security engine (Vipre from GFI) ;) :)

There are lots of reviews made for this product which can be searched all here our in youtube.

I've used it and it runs like it's not even there, but I do have a queasy feeling about it's owners past businesses ethics. That's the elephant in the room for me.

Unthreat is owned and ran by known malware distributors and scam artist.
That is a big turn off for a lot of users.

See- http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=2070713&postcount=168

Thanks.:D

I believe it is just a made up name to cover who there really are.

Whois info- http://whois.domaintools.com/unthreat.com
Blocked by DomainsByProxy.com, that just doesn't look good for a security company.

Any legitimate company would not block their whois info.
What do they have to hide? They have change their company's name 3 times that I know about. Each new company name has no history or info, it just appears out of the blue then goes away. Every since it was let out of the bag who really owned and ran the company they have been taking extra measures to hide who they are. They don't even have a street address they use a PO Box number to hide their location.

UnThreat® Antivirus,
Attn: General Inquiries and Customer Support,
Scandium Security Inc. PO Box 53290,

Every user is to their own but I would never trust their products.

Thanks.:D

Well then its license engine from Vipre could be a questionable too if its a legal agreement or not.

i think their license from Vipre is legal, because everyone knows that they are using Vipre, else Vipre may already sue them, just like IObit-Malwarebytes case

Doesn't look very good on Gfi viper doing business with such companies.

No it doesn't but they are not the only security software company that does this.

Several more companies lease their license, AV, firewall or other technologies to rogue companies.

Thanks.:D

kinda makes you think about who you trust, security technologies is starting to be
a bit of a shade grey ,
when rogue's can lease licenses for money.

Profit, money and everything; instrument of advertisement to attract users.

Caused doing this makes them like a number one from licensing engines to others and contributed.

Bigger companies have bigger values.
