uTorrent 3.3 Build 29038 Released

Most of the features present in other BitTorrent clients are present in µTorrent, including bandwidth prioritization, scheduling, RSS auto-downloading and Mainline DHT (compatible with BitComet). Additionally, µTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

Features:
- Plays downloads still in progress
- Provides secure web-based remote control
- Plays more formats than popular free players
- Converts files to play on popular devices
- Provides secure remote access to your files
- World’s most popular torrent client

What's New
- Rewrite to its disk i/o, which means noticeable performance gains in multi-tasking.
- Eliminating underused and non-core features, including Apps and Find Content, the dual list view and the "getting started" tab.
- Few bug fixes including a fix that noticeably speeds up the rendering of magnet links.

Hello,

I am afraid to load µtorrent because the last time I did,
which was only last week, I got the Conduit Search malware
on my system. It turned out to be a test system, so it was
not as big a burden as it could have been, but the few things
I did do to get rid of it didn't work. OTOH, while I was looking
for solutions, I found this site, so it worked out ok :-)

I think what might have activated the Conduit nasty was
that I hit a button by mistake which started loading the movie
"The Godfather" via torrents. However, I am not sure. The
reason I think that Conduit Search came with µtorrent is that
when I went into where you uninstall Windows programs, they
both had the same date and time stamp.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? I am pretty sure that
the web site I downloaded µtorrent from is the same one that
was indicated in the prior post.

Thank you!

uTorrent may come bundled with a Toolbar, but I haven't used it for 12 months now.

I can recommend a free alternate called qBittorrent (also used by others members here).
