Since i've been using VeraCrypt as my main encryption software, i've been experiencing something until now i thought it was completely normal, but doubt keeps eating my brain.

Is it normal, when the disk starts being decrypted to show its information, for the computer's fans to go extremely noisy? I know decryption with such an encrypting level takes its time and work, but is it normal that fans need to activate for a while until it's fully decrypted?

i5 8GB RAM laptop

Thanks for your time :)

Use CPU temperature monitoring software (HWmonitor, Speccy) to check the CPU temperature during decrypting process.

Or may be your laptop heat sink is full of dust so proper cooling is not taking place.
