Do you guys know any really good web hosting companies and if so what is your experience with them?

Try GoDaddy or HostGator many website use this webhosting including MalwareTips I use my country hosting but not recomended it to you.

Well at the moment as a free source of web hosting I'm using 000Webhost. So MalwareTips is currently using HostGator?

000Webhost is not the greatest as they have a lot of downtime and limit your rights as a user ... If you want to create a forum with free hosting there are some other alternatives that you might want consider like : http://jcink.com/ or http://www.freeforums.org/ .
We are using Hostgator as a hosting company but there are other paid alternatives for what it's worth.......Nevertheless we didn't have any major problem with them so they are ok.

in case you don't want to spend money then you can add advertising that fits to your forum.

I tried Freeforums before and they were good, but I picked 000Webhost because I got to upload the MyBB software and put and change what addons I wanted to use, with Freeforums you can't. I think I might buy a domain. Since MalwareTips, is up all the time, I might get a domain form HostGator.
