A laptop from the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) containing 8.6 million patient records has gone missing, prompting warnings from UK authorities.

A big responsibility for a person who lose the important files from the patients.

Reported 3 weeks later and only Password-protected but not encrypted. They really don't care, hopefully who ever stole it would return it or at least not publish or share the contents online.

The Windows OS even has BitLocker drive encryption, if they used Vista or 7 Ultimate/Enterprise.

Something needs to be pushed to make sure all computers use encryption containing confidential data.

I think the others computer are their main used for the records on the patients while the others may be a backup.
