Question What antivirus for Fedora?

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.
I know ESET does Linux AV, but it's not free.
I've not tried it in a VM yet, I don't know it requires you to register to try it. But I will look into it. I got Fedora VM set up.

ESET NOD32 ANTIVIRUS FOR LINUX DESKTOP is no longer in limited support and currently receives no support as of August 3rd. 2022. Learn more
Business users should install ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux or buy it as part of ESET PROTECT Entry.

It costs like 200+ eur for license??

You are right. I logged in and on Linux, it showed Android, instead of Linux. I see I had the option to send a download link. I see Mac is supported.

Damn.
Are we doomed to use ClamAV forever?
You can't use antivirus software in fedora in the same nature and functionality as in windows. In fedora all Processes are separated from each other by running in their own domains, and SELinux policy rules define how processes interact with files, as well as how processes interact with each other. Access is only allowed if an SELinux policy rule exists that specifically allows it. So even if you use an antivirus software, it won't run in real-time, scanning every active process. It won't get permission to access other processes. Hence there is no such need for an antivirus software in fedora as such. Just make sure that you enable firewallD and use a correct zone ( "drop" would be perfect for most secure configuration) and install software only from trusted sources.
