3. Mention why are you running the mentioned AV

Dont mention any other stuffs except the 3 above & 3 above is must.

And guys, do remember, Poll is not what AV is best but what AV you are running.

And Plzz post & mention above mentioned 3 points in your post. Some users have Voted but not Posted the required info.

I'm running KIS 2016 because:
My system is lightweight, flexible (in a matter of congifuracion can be adapted depending on the needs of each), KSN (the cloud), Kaspersky Aplication Advisor and application control is amazing use it always when I go to install a new program . and also the variety of functions such as protection of Wi-Fi, webcam, vunerabilidades, etc.

Voted ESET

The main reason is I like my AV to be light, unlike a few others I have tried it does not hog up disk % in task manager and the boot time remains almost unchanged for me.

Another reason for me is that I like for my protection to remain offline so I can have full protection when I'm offline unlike those cloud AVs where they offer 0 protection when you do not have an internet connection.

Norton Security 2016:

  1. One of the best web blocking features with their 'Safe Web' and automatically blocking websites which drop malware BEFORE they load.
  2. Amazing detection with SONAR as a last resort.
  3. Anti-Exploit feature built in.
  4. All-in one program.
  5. Extremely light on resources.
  6. Tamper Protection to prevent malware modifying it.
  7. Great at blocking Zero-Hour and Zero-Day malware.
  8. Simple GUI.
Norton users can say more...

Running ESS + EAM but voted for ESET it is my primary AV.
ESET has one of the best signatures, light on system, nice gui, good firewall, web shield, exploit blocker, botnet protection, parental control, Banking & Payment Protection.
EAM is my companion AV also light on system even when running with ESS, has good behavior blocker a must for me because I don't use ESET custom HIPS.

I voted Kaspersky. I use Kaspersky with MBAM free on my main system.

I use it because of the-
- Great detection (Signature+Cloud)
- Good behavior blocker
- Good system cleaning (Malware Removal)
- Light on system
- Customization (especially Application Control)
- Diverse components (Safe Money, Private Browsing, System Control Changes, Webcam Access, Secure Data Input, Vulnerability Scan, Trusted Application Control)

Trend Micro Maximum Security

1. Reliable
2. Compatible
3. Very good file suspicious blocker
4. Extremely good web filter
5. Easy to use
6. Light on system resources during scan\at desktop

Been using it for years and yes I have tired other security suites but have always come back to Trend as I feel comfortable with it and how it performs, plus when I want to do some malware testing I just do it all in the virtual machine, as shown in the MalwareHub.

Is it just me, or should the title of this thread be something more like "which of these 5 AV's are you running, if you do" , instead of the very open and confusing "What AV are you running and why"... If you truly want to narrow down why users are using the above listed products "if they do" , address this by choosing your words more carefully.
