What movie are you watching or planning to watch?

I was born in this city. I lived here for a long time. Nuremberg has a horrific past. Hitler chose Nuremberg as the stage for his massive annual N**i Party. The city was also the birthplace of the infamous Nuremberg Laws, which stripped Jews of their citizenship and laid the legal groundwork for the Holocaust.
Terrible—I hope something like this never happens again! Today, Nuremberg is a lovely city.
Contrary to its title, the historical film *Nuremberg* was not shot in the German city of Nuremberg; to recreate the historical setting of the Nuremberg trials as authentically as possible, the famous courtroom was faithfully reconstructed in Budapest studios.

Honestly, I feel like Patrick Stewart is stalking me, I love him, because captain Picard raised me, but whenever I watch a random movie, Patrick Stewart just pops up there.
I watch Nausicaa, Patrick Stewart is dubbing it, I watch a cartoon like The Pagemaster or Dragon Rider, Patrick Stewart is there, I pick a random movie and guess what?!

🎬 Director’s Statement:

The film began with the idea: what if someone with super strength started to lose control of their body?

I love high-concept stories grounded by human emotions, and luckily.

This idea led to something incredibly universal — Responsibility.

Even if you haven’t dealt with a heartbreaking condition or can’t bench 4 station wagons.

We’ve all struggled to accept our responsibilities at one point or another.

If everything went to plan, Holding Out is a fun, interesting, and emotional story.

About two people who have lived in that avoidance for far too long.

I was lucky to work alongside so many superbly talented artists to bring this to life.

We hope you enjoy it, and maybe even learn something new about a superhero’s copulatory requirements.

My Thoughts

This was a pleasant surprise that YouTube recommended to me.

There was some emotion and covering certain issues that you would not expect for a superhero short film.

Like dementia.

We need more superhero films like this.

So I'm still in the second season of Fringe on telly but just discovered the first John Wick film is free to catch up on ITVx now. Not seen it yet so I think I'll queue that up for today :D The Vampire Lestat; Interview with the vampire is also out now on BBC.

EDIT: Ugh, they removed Fringe from ITVX :( . I'll have a go at Torchwood.

It’s a pity when things like that happen and you can’t continue watching a series like Fringe. Torchwood could be a good alternative: it has a Doctor Who‑style approach where mystery and conspiracy are mixed, but with a more adult and alien‑focused tone. It ran for 4 seasons and concluded its story in 2011, so you won’t be left with an unfinished ending — although some characters were left with an open future. 👽🎬🍿

Yeah, a couple of episodes in. it's okay and I'm slowly warming to it. At least BBC iPlayer tells me it's available for 6 months so I know how long I have :)

I was watching the original TV Series of The Avengers on ITVX, when they deleted it without warning. that's the 3rd series of older programs I was half way though they did that with, earlier this year Netflix removed all Star Treks grrrrrr, so I deleted Netflix & have not missed it :D

The Night Owl

It’s a Korean historical thriller that stands out for its dark atmosphere and its main character: a blind acupuncturist with a very unusual ability. The story combines mystery with palace intrigue, managing to maintain tension and interest throughout most of the movie.

What stands out the most is the way the conspiracies and unexpected twists are gradually revealed, along with the carefully crafted setting and solid performances. Although the pace can feel a bit slow at times, the intrigue never really fades.

In short: a different take on the historical genre, ideal for those who enjoy movies involving mystery, political conspiracies, and a dark atmosphere. 🎬👀🍿

Sci-Fi Short Film "Holy Moses" | DUST | Starring Amanda Seyfried:

My Thoughts

YouTube recommended this short film to me.

This was a surprise.

I was not expecting Amanda Seyfried.

Especially her playing an Irish nun and using an accent.

And a religious themed short film.

As soon as it started, I said: "Is that Amanda Seyfried?".

This was definitely unique.

I wish that it would have been a bit longer.

ANDOR S02 review.

Wonderful series building on the first. No woke trash and strong women characters (even lesbian ones) done right who are not perfect Mary Sue's *COUGH RAY*

I thought we were going to see the Emperor and Vader even for a minute but it was not needed, RougeOne takes care of that.

It was lovely seeing Star Wars done right, not infected with woke trash ideology but with real people and nostalgia that wasn't just fan service but true to the plot.

WHY can't they do this for all Star Wars is a mystery, the problem is anything disconnected from the OG sucks and fails. It's a massive problem, they can'tdealwith it properly.

That Mandalorian and Grogu turd of a movie was horrible but not as bad as episodes 7-9, why they can't use Andor writers and directors is beyond me.

I saw it last night at the theater. For the length of time of the movie, I never felt bored, it kept me intrigued. IMO, Spielberg could have left out the last 3-5 minutes, and left it there for us to consider how we would respond to a Disclosure Day. And I kept on thinking of John Cleese, every time Colin Firth had an appearance 😅
I enjoyed the movie overall, and I agree that it kept me interested throughout. At the same time, I felt that some parts distracted a little from the main idea and made the story feel less focused than it could have been.

I was also expecting the technology side of the story to have a bigger impact. It was an interesting element, but I felt it got a little lost among everything else happening.

I completely agree with you about the last few minutes. For me, they changed the feeling of the movie a bit. After building up that mystery and tension, the ending felt more like a small E.T. style moment from Spielberg rather than staying with the atmosphere the movie had created before.

Still, I enjoyed the experience and it was definitely a movie that gave me things to think about afterwards. 👽🎞️
